New Year Plan for 2019

Just a quick note about the coming year, 2019, which is coming fast upon us. The Bible Reading Schedule will continue with Year 2 of the three-year plan, with daily posts as in 2018. Not many are viewing it, but those who comment are reason enough to keep it going.

If you happen to read this, I’d really appreciate feedback, positive and negative. The blog has evolved quite a bit since it started, and some of the pages need updating. If you’ve noticed some which are misleading I’d appreciate your heads-up.

Also, if there is any interest in Scripture memorization I would do occasional, perhaps monthly posts on that. You can comment on any post, or use the contact form to let me know. I stopped posting for lack of interest, but continue to memorize at the rate of two verses a week. The book for 2018 is 1 Peter, and for 2019 is 2 Peter, and  2 and 3 John.

I am happy to share my schedules upon your request. Thanks for taking time to read this. I look forward to hearing your comments. What are your plans for 2019?

Sufficient Grace {heart hiding 16/23}

Sufficient Grace {heart hiding 16/23}  Heart Hiding is hiding God’s Word in our heart by memorizing whole books of Scripture.  To read more go to the Heart Hiding page.

This is Week 23 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 11-13,  where we are memorizing  2 Corinthians chapter 12, verses 9-10:

9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:  for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake:  for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Truly God gives Sufficient Grace for every need.  What precious, precious truth!

Exalted Above Measure {heart hiding 16/22}

Exalted Above Measure {heart hiding 16/22}  Heart Hiding is hiding God’s Word in our heart by memorizing whole books of Scripture.  To read more go to the Heart Hiding page.

This is Week 22 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 11-13,  where we are memorizing  2 Corinthians chapter 12, verses 7-8:

7  And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8  For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

2 Corinthians 12:7-8

Lest Paul should be Exalted Above Measure through his revelations, he was given a thorn in the flesh.  Godliness comes with a price.
