Something New {Vessels for the Master’s Use}

This was dusted off and retrieved from the draft pile.  It failed to be published in a timely manner, but is still relevant.  Ever have that happen to you?

Something New {Vessels for the Master’s Use} is a heads-up for a project for the new year.  Read on …

Occasionally you may find a link to the sheet music of a hymn by clicking on the title.  Yesterday’s hymn, Sail On!, is unfamiliar to me.  When I looked it up in hymnary.org I saw that the sheet music is in the public domain.  It is now linked to the title of the hymn.

Hymnary.org also has a numerical list of the hymns in Inspiring Hymns.

Eventually I hope to include the pages of the hymnal, Inspiring Hymns, itself in each post, or at least a link.  I am enjoying reading them as poetry rather than focusing on the music, which in some cases is a distraction from the message.

One of my 2016 projects is to index the hymns alphabetically with their numbers, so that they may be found in the Vessels posts for future reference.

    Hi Joyce, if that is what is on your heart to do, sounds good 🙂 I enjoy reading them ♥

    “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
