heart hiding, Scripture Memorization

Weak or Weighty ? {heart hiding 15/44}

Weak or Weighty ? {heart hiding 15/44}  Heart Hiding is hiding God’s Word in our heart by memorizing whole books of Scripture.  To read more go to the Heart Hiding page.

This is Week 44 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 6-10.  How are you doing, my friend?  Don’t be discouraged.  Just keep working at it, and don’t give up.  I can personally testify to God’s faithfulness in this discipline, under the most trying circumstances.

This is Week 44 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 6-10,  where we are memorizing  2 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 10 and 11:

10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.

2 Corinthians 10:10-11

Paul  makes the comparison between his physical appearance and his speech, which are weak, and his letters, which are weighty.  God surely knew what He was doing when He led Paul on his journeys, did He not?

He also mentions walking our talk — how’s that going for you?

This is the final chapter for 2015 — can you believe it???  Only three weeks left, just seven more verses!!

********Just a note about Scripture Typer, if you are using or considering using it.  Recently the non-mobile version underwent a huge update, which was a tad overwhelming at first.  First, if you have a comment or question, they are great about answering, and quite understanding.  And second, just hang in there until you get used to the new format.  In the long run it will be worth it.

If you have a comment or question, please use the comment box at the end of the post or the contact form at the top of the page.

Don’t forget to review the previous weeks’ verses 🙂

The key to memorization is review!

Review 2 Corinthians 6:1-18; 7:1-16; 8:1-24; 9:1-15; 10:1-9.

Have a great week working on these verses.  See you next Sunday.  God bless.

Hi Joyce, on the chance that it is not a rhetorical question, I will try to answer…

I believe I am progressing. I know it is by grace I am saved and not of works; I know I cannot earn it. I am working out my salvation to the best of my understanding. I’m in the process of looking at all areas of my life to be sure I have repented of all sin in every way, so I can bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance. My faith is not in my feelings because my feelings change back and forth. But I have a real sense of peace.

So much we can learn from Paul about what’s really important ♥

Oh that is good to hear. You’re welcome, Joyce. I was reading 2 Timothy 2:20-21 this past weekend, and it made me think of your blog theme and of sanctification. I think I never really understood those verses before, and now they are starting to make sense. Encouraging 🙂
