heart hiding, Scripture Memorization

God First {heart hiding 15/42}

God First {heart hiding 15/42}  Heart Hiding is hiding God’s Word in our heart by memorizing whole books of Scripture.  To read more go to the Heart Hiding page.

This is Week 42 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 6-10.  How are you doing, my friend?  Don’t be discouraged.  Just keep working at it, and don’t give up.  I can personally testify to God’s faithfulness in this discipline, under the most trying circumstances.

This is Week 42 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 6-10,  where we are memorizing  2 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 5 and 6:

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

2 Corinthians 10:5-6

Paul  continues his statement about the weapons of our warfare, which are rooted in our submission to Christ, beginning with our thoughts.  He uses the word every twice, the word all, and the word fulfilled, indicating the necessity of putting God first always.

This is the final chapter for 2015 — can you believe it???  Only five weeks left, twelve more verses!!

********Just a note about Scripture Typer, if you are using or considering using it.  Recently the non-mobile version underwent a huge update, which was a tad overwhelming at first.  First, if you have a comment or question, they are great about answering, and quite understanding.  And second, just hang in there until you get used to the new format.  In the long run it will be worth it.

If you have a comment or question, please use the comment box at the end of the post or the contact form at the top of the page.

Don’t forget to review the previous weeks’ verses 🙂

The key to memorization is review!

Review 2 Corinthians 6:1-18; 7:1-16; 8:1-24; 9:1-15; 10:1-4.

Have a great week working on these verses.  See you next Sunday.  God bless.
