Comfort and Joy {heart hiding 15/10}

Comfort and Joy {heart hiding 15/10}.  Heart Hiding is hiding God’s Word in our heart by memorizing whole books of Scripture.  To read more go to the Heart Hiding page.

How was your week?  Not to worry if you get behind, as I often do.  (So far this year the Lord has kept me up to date.)  Just keep plodding along.  Don’t get discouraged.  Any progress, or even holding your own, is better than not trying.

This is Week 10 of Heart Hiding, memorizing 2 Corinthians 6-10, we continue in chapter 7.

 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you:  I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

2 Corinthians 7:4-5

Paul tells of their less than stellar circumstances in Macedonia when they came to preach Christ’s gospel:  fightings without and fears within.  Yet in the previous verse he uses these descriptive terms:  boldness, glorying, comfort and joy … in all our tribulation!

Hint:  next week’s verse begins “Nevertheless God …” .  Paul will return to the theme stated in the opening verses of the book.

Don’t forget to review the previous weeks’ verses 🙂

The key to memorization is review!

Review 2 Corinthians 6:1-18; 7:1-3.

Have a great week working on these verses.  See you next Sunday.  God bless.
