Plain Speech and Heart Hiding {Week 28}

This is the second of two  Heart Hiding posts this week, Plain Speech and Heart Hiding {Week 28}.  By the calendar it is Week 36.  No matter the pace, I am enjoying Paul’s letter to Corinth.  I’m working on Week 31 — getting caught up in my posting!  Very soon we will go back to one post per week.

How about you?  How is your memorization going?

This is week 28 of  Heart Hidingwhere we are memorizing 2 Corinthians 1-5.  Paul explains the difference between the old and new testaments, of having the veil removed from our understanding, of his use of Plain Speech.

Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

But their minds were blinded:  for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

2 Corinthians 3:12-14

How precious the death of Jesus Christ for us, in taking away the veil between ourselves and God!

I am continuing to review  2 Corinthians 1:1-24 and 2 Corinthians 2:1-17, as well as 2 Corinthians 3:1-11.

As I have mentioned before, I have my verses in Scripture Typer, which reminds me to review previously learned portions on a regular basis.  I find that I often need more frequent review for better retention.

I received an email from a college friend recently, thanking me for introducing her to Scripture Typer, which she in turn has introduced to some of her friends.  What a wonderful resource to be able to share freely!

trusting God and Heart Hiding, scripture memorization

The heart hiding {Scripture Memorization} page was updated recently.  You may want to check it out.  It is located  under the BIBLE tab, which is under the WORSHIP tab, which is just below the header (WordWorks).  The heart hiding page now has every heart hiding post linked to it, so that you no longer have to scroll through them all (and wait for them to load).

If you have a moment to share with others how God is using His Word in your life,

we would all be blessed and encouraged.

Plain Speech.  This is Week 28 of Heart Hiding, Scripture memorization, which will be posted on Sundays throughout 2014.   In case you missed  the previous posts, you can find them here:
