Forgiveness and Heart Hiding {Week 19}

This is the second of two  Heart Hiding posts this week.  By the calendar it is Week 32.  I am running just a tad behind, but that’s okay.  I am enjoying Paul’s letter to Corinth.  I’m working on Week 24 — getting caught up in my posting!

How about you?  How is your memorization going?

This is week 19 of  Heart Hidingwhere we are memorizing 2 Corinthians 1-5.  Week 19 is Paul’s policy on forgiveness.  It’s not written as a command, but certainly an example.  It is unconditional.

To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ.

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

2 Corinthians 2:10-11

What a great example to us of forgiveness!  Not only are we to forgive, but if we follow Paul’s example we will forgive those whom others (not everyone, these were fellow believers in the church at Corinth) forgive, simply for their benefit, not our own.  Now there’s a ‘new’ concept!

As I have mentioned before, I have my verses in Scripture Typer, which reminds me to review previously learned portions on a regular basis.  I find that I often need more frequent review for better retention.

How about you?  Does forgiveness come easily to you?  Do you find it easy to forgive those whom others have forgiven?  What command does Jesus give concerning forgiveness?

trusting God and Heart Hiding, scripture memorization

The heart hiding {Scripture Memorization} page was updated recently.  You may want to check it out.  It is located  under the BIBLE tab, which is under the WORSHIP tab, which is just below the header (WordWorks).  The heart hiding page now has every heart hiding post linked to it, so that you no longer have to scroll through them all (and wait for them to load).

If you have a moment to share with others how God is using His Word in your life,

we would all be blessed and encouraged.

This is Week 19 of Heart Hiding, Scripture memorization, which will be posted on Sundays throughout 2014.   In case you missed  the previous posts, you can find them here:
