Trusting in God and Heart Hiding {Week 4}

I’m working diligently at memorizing Scripture.  How about you?  This week I was able to get ahead, which is a first for me.  Some years I’m just getting started.  Scripture Typer is helpful for keeping me on track.  I am still reviewing Philippians from 2013, and a few other passages learned previously, as well as 2 Corinthians 1 for Heart Hiding.

Trusting in God and Heart Hiding {Week 4}

This week’s Heart Hiding Scripture memorization verses are about the sufferings of Christ, and the reason for them — trusting God.  The truth of verse nine has gripped me as I worked on memorizing it.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead;  Isn’t that a marvelous truth?!!

 For  we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life;

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead;

2 Cor. 1:8-9 (KJV)

This is Week 4 of Heart Hiding, Scripture memorization, which we will be posting on Sundays throughout 2014.
