Sir Edward Elgar and the Milwaukee Honor Flight

Post revised, as Honor Flight photo albums are no longer available. 11.21.2014

The Honor Flight albums for September 21, 2013 from Milwaukee were awesome.  They never fail to inspire.  {via tears}  Here’s a great shout out to all veterans of WWII and Korea, in all Allied forces.

Here’s the music on Youtube.  Sir Colin Davis directing Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations.

This is one of those things that I like to say is Sovereignly designed for me by my heavenly Father.  Both of these were retweets on Twitter, both 13 hours ago, totally unrelated.  While I waited for Youtube to load, I went back to reading tweets, and opened the Honor Flight album.  The two proceeded simultaneously.  Beautiful!

While I have your ear, let me just remind you to pray for our veterans, as this ‘partial’ federal shutdown is affecting their benefits.  Our Milwaukee Veterans office is closed, phone access only.  These folks have sacrificed their lives for our country.  We need to help them out as we are able.

If you know a veteran who is on disability, please ask if there is anything you can do for them.  They might just need to know that you care.  And don’t forget to say thank you for their sacrifice, which in many cases did not end when their boots hit American soil.  Our current young veterans are dealing with issues beyond imagination.  They need our prayers.

I am the mother of one.  And I thank you for your prayers.
