The following is an old email to my soldier son. Good thoughts for us all.
Sorry to hear you have to wait so long. Will keep on praying. I copied this awhile ago. Thought maybe you could use it. Love, Mom
The Secret of Strength
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31

Christian, wait upon the Lord,
If you would not faint and fall;
Take and wield the Spirit’s sword,
Lest you heed the tempter’s call.Christian, wait upon the Lord,
If your strength you would renew,
Claim and trust the promised Word,
And God’s pow’r will flow through you.Then you’ll mount with eagle’s wings,
Run for Christ your King of kings,
Walk the path that always brings
Faith that rests and joy that sings.
